How to build self confidence
Here I’m not talking about fake it till you make it. You have to prove that you can trust yourself. There is some situation where you should already be confident. Everything is about your mindset.
Let’s use a common exemple : walking into a room full of people. You already know how to walk and you’ve done this before. You can feel more secure by reminding yourself one time you did it. Maybe you were stressed, but everything went well. It’s going to be just like last time, no need to overthink every single step. Work on keeping your mind on the rational side. You have to walk there anyway, might as well do it with confidence. Anxiety really makes insecurities grow at a crazy level. Using this method can really help you to beat your anxiety.
Now how can you prove yourself that you are a trustworthy person? Don’t let yourself down, be kind to yourself and others, don’t be lazy and prioritize self-care.
Here’s a few concrete actions you can do on the daily :
Act like your idea of a good person would act. Treat others with respect, that way when you see how some people behave, you can be proud of not being like them.
You will understand that you’re a nice person.
Don’t think any bad things about yourself and treat yourself well.
You will understand that you are safe alone with yourself.
Don’t disappoint yourself. Fix some goals and do everything in your power to achieve them. Put a lot of energy in your goals and don’t give up.
You will understand that you’re able to do many great things.
Those actions are the key to self love. More things you do for yourself, the more trust you’ll build. When you stop having doubts about what you can do, you’ll see that you can do way more than you think.
